We’re recruiting on behalf of a UHNW client seeking an experienced Chef and House Manager. Our client is seeking either a highly polished couple or 2 individuals – ideally ex-yacht crew, for their beautiful private estate in Connecticut. The property is around a 45min drive from New York. This is a land-based role, perfect for a Chef/Chief Stew or Chef/Stew team ready to transition ashore into a long-term lifestyle position. The location is beautiful, and you will be part of a vibrant community.
It is essential you have an American passport or Green Card to be eligible for this role. There is no flexibility with this. The roles will start in September. Initial interviews will by via video and then face to face.
The principal will be in residence for approximately 3-4 months a year split into 2 or 3 visits. During these months the role will be busy working. The remaining 8 or 9 months the roles will be very flexible in terms of working hours and days.
POSITION 1: PRIVATE CHEF TO PRINCIPAL
We are looking for a Chef who can turn their hand to a variety of cuisines from European to sushi and everything in between. The emphasis is on fresh, high-quality ingredients cooked well. It doesn’t require Michelin levels of presentation.
Duties include:
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner. The principal eats out so will be out for lunch or dinner on occasion.
- Occasionally cooking for small-scale entertaining (usually 6–8 guests)
- Cooking lunch for the estate staff (5 in total)
You’ll suit this role if you:
- Have a strong background in private service or luxury yachts
- Are confident across a wide culinary spectrum
- Are used to formal service
- Appreciate a principal who loves good food and shows her appreciation

POSITION 2: HOUSE MANAGER / CONCIERGE
This is a hybrid land-based role blending a few responsibilities. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the interior, manage suppliers and act as the principal’s go-to for all things home and lifestyle.
Duties include:
- Managing the interior of a beautifully finished house
- Providing concierge-style support to the Principal
- Assisting with basic tech (Netflix, emails, device syncing)
- Service at meal times, making a good cocktail
- Ensuring the guest cottage is always guest-ready
- Occasionally drive the boss locally
You’ll suit this role if you:
- Have experience in senior yacht interior roles or private homes
- Are confident managing luxury interiors and service operations
- Are tech-savvy and intuitive
- Are hands-on and happy to "muck in" when needed

Position Summary
The Technical Superintendent is responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of yard refit periods for a fleet of large vessels. This role ensures all refit activities are carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints. The position requires a Chief Engineer Unlimited with extensive sea-going experience on large yachts and at least 2–3 years of land-based yard management expertise. The successful candidate will act as a key technical authority, ensuring the fleet’s operational readiness and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Refit Planning and Preparation
•Collaborate with onboard Chief Engineers to scope and define refit requirements.
•Develop detailed project plans, including technical specifications, budgets, and schedules.
•Conduct pre-refit inspections and align on project objectives with relevant stakeholders.
•Identify and select suitable yard facilities, contractors, and suppliers.
2. Yard Refit Management
